What it is
This family of small electric bakers uses shaped hot plates to make waffles, cone waffles, egg waffles, hot dog waffles, mini donuts, muffins and fish-shaped cakes, popular at cafes, kiosks and street stalls.
How it works
Batter is poured into shaped moulds between two heated plates or into an open plate. A thermostat holds the heat, and the moulds cook and release the snack when done. Non-stick surfaces help release.
